A little about the Farm
We are on a mission to connect people with agriculture. At Feathered Acres Learning Farm & Inn, we are so excited to give people hands-on experiences, practical life skills, and a glimpse into the agricultural way of life.
Feathered Acres Farm is in the transitional process of becoming a full regenerative farm. We strive to protect the natural ecosystem around our farm while giving our animals land to roam and graze. We focus on improving our soil health, carbon capture, increasing biodiversity, and sustainable practices.
This is a millennial-run farm and we hope to teach the public an older way of farming. We want to inspire people to pursue an agricultural career or start their own farm. We need more connection to the farm and we hope Feathered Acres will give you that holistic, real experience.
Hi there, I am Trisha!
I grew up on a family-owned dairy farm 9 miles down the road from Feathered Acres! My upbringing set the foundation for my love and excitement about owning my own farm someday. I received my bachelor’s in agronomy from North Dakota State University. Following my education, I worked in agricultural chemical sales for nearly a decade. I had a bigger desire to connect people with their food while myself living a regenerative farming lifestyle.
Feathered Acres Learning Farm & Inn officially launched in 2021. My vision is to help bridge the gap between the public and agriculture. I want to strengthen the knowledge and understanding of farms, giving people the opportunity to form their own educated opinion when it comes to farms vs reading about them. I have created real hands-on experiences in order to combat this disconnection to farms. I hope to share this pure enjoyment I receive from rural living with my guests.
